Half Trapeze Reformer Installation
When you buy a half trapeze reformer from Pilates Direct, we handle the delivery and installation, so it arrives set up and ready to use in your home or studio. Work through the planning steps below, then talk to us about your space.

Check space, ceiling height and footprint first
Ceiling height is rarely the issue
A half trapeze tower typically stands about 160cm to 180cm above floor level, so the 220cm ceiling rule for full trapeze hanging work does not apply. That suits many home rooms and studio spaces.
The Pilates Direct team still confirms the numbers for your room before delivery, including doorways and stairs on the way in.
The footprint matches a standard reformer
A half trapeze reformer needs roughly the same floor space as a regular studio machine, around 250cm x 70cm. The tower attaches at the foot end only, so it adds height rather than length.
Allow clearance on both sides so an instructor can reach the carriage and springs safely. Always confirm exact product dimensions before you buy.
Measure the floor space and leave room either side, not just for the machine itself. It makes setup and instructed sessions much easier.

What to have ready before install day
- A clear, level area of at least 250cm x 70cm, plus side clearance
- A confirmed route from the entry point to the room
- Your room measurements, so we can check them against the product dimensions
Proper form and qualified instruction matter when you start using any reformer with tower, so plan the space with an instructor's access in mind.
What arrives with the Half Trapeze Reformer Tower
Here is what we expect to see in the box and on the frame when the Half Trapeze Reformer Tower arrives, so you can check it against your order at delivery.
- Hand and foot straps (pair) and handles (pair)
- Abdomen handle and safety strap
- Jump board
- 21 carabiners and a rope system
- 13 springs
- Roll-down bar and extension
- Brushed stainless steel tower with an automotive-grade finish
- Sweat-resistant vulcanised rubber on the contact areas
- Knot-less reforested wood frame with a satin matte finish
Will a half trapeze fit my existing reformer?
Maybe, but it depends on the model. Half trapeze towers are designed to suit particular reformers, and fit comes down to the end-cap design and frame dimensions of the machine you already own. A tower that suits one frame will not necessarily suit another, which matters even more if you own a compact pilates reformer with a non-standard frame.
So we check before you buy. Send us your reformer's make and model, or bring it up with us at our Sydney showroom, and we'll confirm against the half trapeze collection listings. As an Australian owned and operated business, we'd rather tell you a tower won't fit than have you find out on delivery day.
If your reformer isn't a match, the Motion Pilates wall-mounted springboard is another route. It fixes to a studio or home wall, with a Canadian Maplewood base and a package that includes a push-through bar, roll bar, spring sets and extra hand straps.
