What makes a reformer professional grade?
Built for repeated, heavy use
A professional pilates reformer is built to handle back-to-back sessions, every day, without losing its feel. Many sellers only offer home-grade machines, which are fine for light use at home but not designed for a busy studio floor. Our designs are commercial quality, suited to home and commercial use alike.
Smooth carriage movement and lower maintenance
The carriage is where you notice the difference first. On a studio reformer it glides consistently, session after session, which keeps the experience steady for clients and instructors. That smooth movement also reduces how often a machine needs attention, so there is less downtime and fewer maintenance headaches.
Start with how you'll actually use it. A reformer that's built for the volume you expect will feel the same in month twelve as it did on day one.
Pilates Direct Team, Pilates Reformer & Equipment Specialists
Refined with industry professionals
We are Australian owned and operated, and we have spent 5 years refining our designs alongside industry professionals. That feedback shapes the build and the details that matter day to day.
Whatever you choose, proper form and qualified instruction matter for anyone using a reformer, so we always suggest pairing the right equipment with a trained instructor.
The Motion reformer: built for busy studios
The Motion reformer is our studio-grade answer for venues running back-to-back classes. It is built for up to 150 sessions per week, and its smooth carriage movement helps keep maintenance low and performance consistent under heavy use.
It comes with 5 resistance springs, an adjustable multi-position footbar and an extended carriage length for taller users. A commercial warranty package is included, and the Motion sits in the $3,500 to $4,500 range.

Professional reformer options we stock
We stock five main routes to a professional pilates reformer, covering demo models, a studio-grade machine and a full clinical package. Each is built for studio, gym or clinic use.
- Pioneer Pilates Metal Foldable Reformer (demo): a foldable metal-frame reformer, available as a used or demo model.
- Pioneer Pilates Wooden Foldable Reformer (demo): the wooden foldable option, also sold from our second-hand collection.
- Motion Pilates Studio Reformer: our studio-grade machine for busy commercial use.
- Pioneer Pilates Clinical Full Track Reformer Package: a studio-grade package suited to clinics and studios.
- Ex-demo reformer and jump board packages: brand new, with local Greater Sydney pickup or delivery only.
Can I save with a demo or second-hand reformer?
Yes. Our second-hand collection is a lower-cost route to a professional machine, and it includes used and demo models such as the Pioneer Pilates Metal Foldable Reformer.
One standout is the ex-demo reformer and jump board package. It is brand new, valued at over $5,490, and comes with a 1 month warranty. It is available to local customers only, with Greater Sydney pickup or delivery.

Try before you commit to a purchase
You can try a reformer before you buy. We offer a rental programme for the Motion reformer from $150 per month, plus a rental option for the PP-07 Wooden Foldable Reformer. Renting lets you see how a machine suits your space, your routine and your clients before you make a longer-term decision.
You can also see machines in person at our Sydney showroom, where you can test them first-hand and ask which one suits your space and use.
If you would rather order online, we offer door-to-door delivery and setup advice, with installation and aftercare support from our Australian owned and operated team.
A home reformer also gives you a low-impact option you can use at your own pace, without travelling to a class. If you are returning from an injury, please get clearance from your physiotherapist or doctor first.
Professional reformer questions we hear often
What is the difference between a commercial and a home reformer?
A commercial reformer is built for daily, repeated use, while many home-grade machines are not. Our designs are commercial quality and have been refined over 5 years of working with industry professionals. They suit home and commercial use alike.
How many sessions a week can a studio reformer handle?
The Motion reformer is built for up to 150 sessions per week. Its smooth carriage movement helps keep maintenance low and performance consistent.
Can I try a reformer before I buy?
Yes. You can see machines in person at our Sydney showroom, or rent first. Rental on the Motion reformer starts from $150 per month, and there is also a rental option for the PP-07 Wooden Foldable Reformer.
How do delivery and installation work?
You can order online with door-to-door delivery options and setup advice. Ex-demo packages are the exception: they are Greater Sydney pickup or delivery only.
Is a professional reformer suitable for beginners or people with an injury?
Beginners can use a reformer with qualified instruction, because proper form matters on any machine. If you are injured or returning from injury, please get clearance from a physiotherapist or doctor before you start.
