What you can buy second hand from us

Used reformers, checked and backed by a local team

A reformer is what many people call a Pilates bed, and buying one used makes sense when condition, safety and aftercare are covered. That is the part we focus on. Our second hand range covers fully serviced reformers, ex-demo packages and used Pioneer Pilates and Motion Pilates models.

As an Australian owned and operated supplier with a Sydney showroom, we stand behind what we sell instead of leaving you to work it out alone.

What is in the range

Stock changes, so condition matters

Used and demo stock moves quickly, and pictured machines are examples, so actual condition can vary slightly. A listing online may not match what is on the floor today, so confirm availability with our team before you plan a trip.

Start with how you'll actually use it, then pick the reformer that fits your space and your budget. Proper form and qualified instruction matter on any machine.

See a reformer in person at our Castle Hill showroom

You can see, touch and try a used reformer at our Sydney showroom in Castle Hill before you decide. We're a family-owned and operated Sydney business, so you'll talk to people who know the machines and can help you match one to your space, your level and whether it's for home or studio.

Once you've chosen, you can pick up from the showroom. The ex-demo reformer and jump board packages are for Greater Sydney only, by delivery or pickup. The Aero Pilates XP610 can also be delivered Australia-wide, with an ETA of 3-4 weeks.

Our team handles delivery, installation and aftercare, so setup isn't something you have to work out alone. Measure your space before you commit, and book instruction with a qualified teacher once it's home.

Why buy a used reformer?

A used reformer is a practical way to start Pilates at home or fit out a studio without paying new-machine prices. Here are the reasons we hear most often.

  • Lower cost than new. Our second hand reformers sit at a fraction of the price of a new machine, which leaves more room in the budget for classes and accessories.
  • Inspected and refurbished. Our used stock is checked and refurbished before sale, so you are not guessing at what you are getting.
  • Suits home or studio, at any level. The range works for beginners practising at home and for studio owners adding another machine.
  • Less waste. Choosing used keeps a good machine in use and reduces demand for new manufacturing.
  • A lower-risk first step. If you are unsure about committing, a used reformer lets you try the equipment before a bigger purchase.

Should you buy used from us or from Marketplace?

Marketplace and Gumtree can turn up a good reformer, but buying from us means the machine has been inspected, serviced and comes with a 1 month warranty. Private listings and local studio sales usually give you neither, and you are relying on the seller's word about condition.

That said, a private sale can still work if you know what to look for. Whichever channel you use, check these before you pay:

  • Springs: even tension, no stretched, rusty or mismatched springs.
  • Ropes and straps: no fraying, and pulleys that run smoothly.
  • Carriage: it should glide quietly along the rails without catching.
  • Frame: no cracks, wobble or bent sections, and a stable footbar and headrest.

If you can, try the machine before buying, and have a qualified instructor guide your setup and form.

Not ready to buy? Rent first

If you want to try a reformer at home before you commit, rent one. Rentals suit a foldable Pilates reformer for home use, with a minimum of 12 weeks at $39 per week and a $300 refundable deposit. We cover Sydney and a 150km radius, and pickup from our Castle Hill store is free.

If you decide to keep it, payment plans and rent-to-buy give you a straightforward path from hire to ownership.

Many people want a reformer at home because the workout is low-impact, works the whole body and can be done at your own pace, without travelling to classes. If you're returning from an injury, get clearance from your physiotherapist or doctor first.

Common questions about second hand Pilates beds

Is there second hand stock available right now?

It changes constantly. Check the second hand reformers collection first, then confirm availability with our team.

Will my reformer look exactly like the one in the photos?

Close, but not identical. Pictured reformers are demonstration examples, and the actual condition of the machine you buy may vary slightly.

What warranty and support come with it?

Our serviced reformers, such as the Aero Pilates XP610, and the ex-demo reformer and jump board packages each carry a 1 month warranty. You also deal with an Australian owned and operated team.

How do pickup and delivery work?

You can collect from our Castle Hill showroom. The ex-demo packages are for Greater Sydney only, while the XP610 can be delivered Australia-wide with an ETA of 3-4 weeks.

Can I rent first, then buy?

Yes. Rental starts at a 12 week minimum, and our payment plans and rent-to-buy options make it straightforward to move from hire to ownership.

Will it suit my space and my level?

The used range suits all proficiency levels, for a home or a studio. Measure your space before you commit, and book instruction with a qualified teacher, because good form matters on any reformer.

I have an injury. Can I use one?

Please get clearance from your doctor or physiotherapist before starting. We can talk through equipment, but we cannot advise on your condition.
