For us, studio reformer wholesale means fitting out a studio, gym or physio clinic with several reformers at once, rather than buying a single machine for home. Pilates Direct is an Australian owned and operated commercial supplier, and our studio reformers collection is the non-foldable range built for permanent, studio-grade setups.

We stock reformers for home and commercial use, with trusted brands including Pioneer Pilates and Motion Pilates. The PP-09 package, for example, pairs a beechwood frame with studio-standard springs and reinforced rails.

A full floor needs more than reformers, so we also supply chairs, barrels and trapeze tables from the same place. Proper form and qualified instruction matter on every piece of equipment.

Why studio-grade frames last through daily classes

A studio reformer is built for ten or more clients a day, year after year, while a home unit might see three or four sessions a week from one or two people. That gap in use is why the build differs.

Studio-grade frames are non-foldable, so the rail runs as one continuous piece with no hinge joint. A folding hinge is where quality varies and can develop play after years of daily folding. A rigid, permanently assembled frame keeps the glide consistent under heavy use.

Weight capacity is typically 150kg or more, compared with around 100 to 130kg for foldable home models. Commercial warranty terms are also written around daily wear rather than the shorter consumer-grade terms common on home reformers.

You can see this difference in person at our Sydney showroom, where you can try reformers side by side before you commit.

Ways to get reformers into your studio

You don't have to pay everything up front. Here are the options, each with a link to the relevant product page.

  • Rent with the option to purchase: hire a reformer from $39 per week and decide later whether to buy, so you can start taking classes before committing to a full order. See the MP-01 Reformer Package.
  • Payment plans: spread the cost of a package such as the MP-01 over time, which keeps your cash free for fit-out, marketing and staffing.
  • Used and demo stock: lower-cost models, including the Motion Pilates Studio Reformer, suit tighter budgets or an extra unit for a growing timetable.
  • Regular sales: we run sales from time to time, so check the site for what is currently listed before you plan your budget. The PP-09 Reformer Package is one place to look.
  • Tailored recommendation: tell us your class sizes and budget and we will suggest a mix of options that suits your studio.

How much space and kit should you plan for?

Floor space per reformer

Plan for a fixed footprint of about 2.5m per studio reformer, plus roughly 100cm clear on either side for arm and leg space. Because studio-grade frames are non-foldable, that footprint is permanent, so mark out your layout before you order rather than after delivery.

Add walkways and room for the instructor to move between machines, and the numbers grow quickly across a full class.

What comes in the MP-01 package

The MP-01 package includes the wood reformer, large sitting box, jump board, padded standing platform, foot strap, and ropes and hand straps. That covers the core setup for each station, so you are not sourcing accessories separately.

Start with how you'll actually use it, then pick the reformer that fits your space and your budget.

Order spare straps up front

Hand and foot straps wear faster than some other parts across a busy timetable. Studios fitting out several reformers often order extra sets at the same time, so a worn strap never takes a machine out of a class.

Factor your instructor's input into the layout and kit list, so the room works for the way you teach, including whether you want a pilates tower added to any stations.

Common questions from studio owners

What is the difference between a foldable and a non-foldable studio reformer?

A non-foldable studio reformer is one rigid, permanently assembled unit with a continuous rail. A foldable model adds a hinge joint, and that joint is where quality varies most after years of daily folding. Our studio reformers collection is the non-foldable option for permanent setups.

What weight capacity should I look for?

Studio-grade non-foldable reformers typically carry 150kg or more, while foldable home models sit around 100 to 130kg. Check the specifications on each product page for the exact figure.

Is the warranty suited to commercial use?

Commercial warranty terms are built around daily wear, whereas shorter consumer-grade terms are common on home reformers. Ask us for the warranty terms on the model you are considering.

Do you offer used or demo reformers?

Yes. We stock used and demo models, including the Motion Pilates Studio Reformer and Pioneer Pilates foldable options, which suit tighter budgets.

Can I try a reformer before I buy?

Yes, you can try before you buy at our Sydney showroom. Whatever you choose, proper form and qualified instruction matter, so we suggest working with a trained instructor.
