Why see a Cadillac table in person first?

A Pilates Cadillac table, also called a trapeze table, is a standalone piece of equipment with a raised padded bed and a full overhead frame. It is a large piece of kit, and photos don't show you bed height, frame clearance or how solid it feels under load. That is why people searching for a cadillac table showroom near me usually want to stand next to one before they commit.

Pilates Direct is an Australian owned and operated supplier with a Sydney showroom where you can try the equipment yourself. We stock Cadillac tables alongside every reformer bed, chair and barrel, from trusted brands like Pioneer Pilates and Motion Pilates, for both home and commercial use. Buying from a team that carries the whole range makes it easier to choose equipment that works together.

If you can't get to Sydney straight away, you can buy a Pilates Cadillac online and talk it through with our team first.

What you can do on a Pilates Cadillac

A Cadillac comes with a set of standard attachments, and each one opens up a different part of the repertoire. Trying them in the showroom is the quickest way to see how they work. Proper form and qualified instruction matter on every one of them.

• Push-through bar: supports spinal and shoulder work in lying and seated positions.
• Roll-down bar: used for seated and lying roll-down series that develop control through the trunk.
• Arm springs: allow arm series in lying, seated and kneeling positions.
• Leg springs: support the leg series, with the legs suspended while the pelvis stays steady.
• Trapeze bar: allows hanging and inverted work that a reformer alone can't offer.
• Push-down bar: adds standing and seated pressing exercises to the mix.

Full Cadillac, half trapeze or trapeze tower: which suits your space?

For many home studios with standard ceiling heights, a half trapeze reformer is the more practical choice. A full Cadillac suits studios and clinics with the room and height to house a large standalone frame. Standing next to each option in the showroom makes the difference in scale obvious.

Full Cadillac

This is a standalone apparatus with a raised padded bed, full overhead frame and a complete set of springs and bars. It needs no reformer base, so it takes up its own floor space and ceiling clearance. It suits studio, clinic and teacher training settings, and committed home users with the room.

Half trapeze reformer

A half trapeze reformer mounts a frame at one end of the reformer, giving you core Cadillac attachment points without a second machine. One footprint, one purchase.

Start with how you'll actually use it, then pick the setup that fits your ceiling height and floor space before you think about extras.

Trapeze tower

If you already own a reformer, a trapeze tower attaches to it and adds overhead work without replacing what you have. It is a sensible way to build your setup gradually, and it is a good starting point for a home Pilates studio setup.

Whichever you choose, proper form and qualified instruction matter, especially on overhead and inverted work.

Cadillac tables you can try in the Sydney showroom

Two Cadillac tables sit at the centre of the range. You can lie on the bed, look at the overhead frame and talk through your space and goals with an adviser.

The Pioneer Pilates Cadillac table has a stainless steel full trapeze tower with 16 carabine attachment points, and suits both commercial and home use. It is a good example of professional Pilates equipment that also works in a serious home studio. Ask our team to show you how the springs are set up and changed between exercises.

The second Cadillac is built from fine wood and brushed stainless steel. The maker says its timber is reforested and sustainably sourced, and the model is listed as in stock.

Fitting out a studio? We also offer commercial packages, so ask our team. If you're browsing Pilates equipment for sale more broadly, the showroom also lets you compare Cadillacs against reformers and chairs side by side.

Is a Cadillac right for a studio, clinic or home?

A Cadillac table suits professional studios, physiotherapy clinics and teacher training facilities particularly well, along with intermediate to advanced practitioners and serious home users who have the space and ceiling height. The benefits of a Cadillac reformer-style setup come from variety: it complements reformer training rather than replacing it. If your ceilings are standard, a half trapeze reformer is often the better fit.

Clinics use the table for assisted movement and mobilisation work. Anyone recovering from an injury should get clearance from a physiotherapist or doctor first.

For a home studio, set aside a calm, dedicated room if you can, with a quality mat and clear floor space. Start with the basics and build your equipment gradually as budget allows.
