What a Cadillac table adds to a working studio
A standalone apparatus with its own frame
A Cadillac table, also called a trapeze table, needs no reformer base. It has its own raised, padded table surface and a full overhead frame that houses the push-through bar, roll-down bar, arm springs, leg springs and trapeze bar. Most models add a push-down bar as well.
For a studio, that means one piece of equipment that supports a wide spread of movements, from assisted stretching to hanging bar work, all under the guidance of a qualified instructor.
Why it suits dedicated apparatus sessions
Studios and clinics that run apparatus sessions separate from reformer classes tend to choose a Cadillac table for exactly this reason. It is also a natural addition if you already own a reformer bed and want to widen your timetable.
Start with how you'll actually use it. A Cadillac earns its floor space when you run dedicated apparatus sessions, so match the model to that schedule.

Build quality matters when it works all day
A Cadillac table carries clients and instructors through back-to-back sessions, so the frame, joints and finish need to hold up. That is why we look closely at the steel, the joints and the finish before we stock a model. Proper form and qualified instruction matter for every exercise.
Pioneer Pilates Cadillac table
The Pioneer Pilates Cadillac table is built around a stainless steel full trapeze tower with 16 carabine attachment points. That gives instructors plenty of options for setting up springs and straps, so sessions can be tailored to each client.

Pilates Cadillac table
The signature Cadillac table is built for studio owners who want the apparatus to look as good as it performs. It pairs fine wood with brushed stainless steel, and it's commonly the feature piece of a Pilates studio.
The structure uses stainless steel with cast steel joints for strength and accuracy. The timber is knot-free, reforested and sustainably sourced, finished in a satin matte varnish that resists moisture and scratches.
We're happy to talk through how it suits your space and your teachers.

What to check before you buy
Before you commit to a Cadillac table, confirm four things: your ceiling height, your floor space, how you'll calibrate spring resistance, and who will be using it.
- Ceiling clearance: you need at least 220cm overhead for the full range of exercises, especially hanging trapeze bar work. The overhead frame stands roughly 200 to 210cm, so check product dimensions against your ceiling.
- Footprint: allow around 240cm x 80cm of floor space, plus room to move around the table safely and set up clients.
- Spring resistance: springs work vertically and at angles. Arm springs are lighter, leg springs are heavier, and each exercise needs its own calibration by a qualified instructor.
- Intended use: Cadillac tables suit studios, physiotherapy clinics and teacher training facilities. For clients with injuries, a physiotherapist or doctor should clear them first.
Cadillac or reformer with a trapeze attachment?
A full Cadillac table is a standalone unit, while a trapeze attachment adds an overhead frame to a reformer. If you want a great deal of exercise variety from a single apparatus, the Cadillac is the one. If you want some trapeze work on equipment you already own, an attachment may be enough.
The options differ in how they connect. A trapeze tower attaches to an existing reformer, and a half trapeze reformer mounts the frame at the end of the machine. A full trapeze reformer builds the overhead frame onto the carriage itself. A Cadillac has its own raised, padded table and full frame, so it needs no reformer base.
In a classical circuit, the Cadillac complements reformers and the pilates barrel rather than replacing them, because each serves different movement purposes. Many studios pair the two.
Common questions about Cadillac tables
How much space and ceiling height does a Cadillac table need?
Plan for at least 220cm of overhead clearance and roughly 240cm x 80cm of floor space. The overhead frame stands about 200-210cm, so check the product dimensions against your ceiling before you buy.
Can I rent a Cadillac table to own?
Yes. Pilates Direct offers rent-to-own and payment plan options. Call us to talk through what suits your studio or home setup.
What do delivery and installation cover?
Our team handles delivery and installation, with aftercare support once your Cadillac table is in place. Confirm the details for your space when you speak with us.
Is a Cadillac table suitable for home use?
It can be, if you have the ceiling height and floor space. The Pioneer range is used in commercial studios and in homes.
Can I use a Cadillac table after an injury?
Please check with your doctor or physiotherapist first. We can advise on equipment, but clearance for injury or rehabilitation use needs to come from a health professional.
