The Motion Pilates wall mounted trapeze tower
The Motion Pilates wall mounted trapeze tower is the unit we recommend for most rooms. The design is simple and functional, and the base is made from high quality Canadian Maplewood. The package includes a push through bar, roll bar, spring sets and additional hand straps. It sits well alongside the other equipment we supply from trusted brands such as Pioneer Pilates and Motion Pilates, including reformers, chairs, barrels and trapeze tables. Choose by floor space and ceiling height
If floor space is tight but you have a clear wall and good ceiling height, a wall unit is usually the better fit. If you have room to spare, a full Cadillac gives you a freestanding trapeze table with everything on one frame.
A standalone Cadillac such as the Pioneer Pilates Cadillac table takes up about 240cm x 80cm of floor and needs 220cm or more of overhead clearance for hanging trapeze bar exercises.
Where the wall unit fits well
A wall unit leaves nothing on your floor when you are not using it. That makes it a practical choice for a spare room, a garage corner or a small studio wall where a full table would crowd the space.
Start with how you'll actually use it, then pick the setup that fits your space and your budget. Measure the wall and the ceiling before you look at anything else.
Pilates Direct Team, Pilates Reformer & Equipment Specialists
Wall unit or Cadillac: a quick guide
- Wall unit: limited floor space, a sturdy wall available, and a wish to add spring work alongside a reformer.
- Full Cadillac: room for a freestanding table, the 220cm or more of overhead clearance, and a preference for one apparatus that does it all.
If you are returning from an injury, check with your physiotherapist or doctor first.

How we help you choose, install and look after it
The best checks happen with someone who knows the equipment, so here is how we look after you from first question to aftercare.
- Tailored recommendation: tell us about your room, wall and any reformer you already own, and we'll suggest a Pilates tower wall unit that suits your home or studio.
- Try before you buy: visit our Sydney showroom to handle the push-through bar and springs, and ask about spring counts and resistances in person.
- Delivery: we arrange delivery and confirm what tools and assembly time to expect before it arrives.
- Installation: our team can install the unit, with secure wall fixing and clearance for spring-loaded arm and leg work checked on the day.
- Aftercare: as an Australian owned and operated business, we stay on hand for questions once you're set up.
How much wall and ceiling space does a Pilates tower wall unit need?
A wall unit uses wall space and clearance rather than floor space, so it suits rooms where floor area is tight. You need a secure fixing point and enough room around it for spring-loaded arm and leg work. Check your wall and clearance against the product page before ordering.
Should I buy a reformer first?
Our general advice is to start with a reformer, then add one apparatus at a time. A tower is a good next step once you have the wall space and budget, because it adds spring-based resistance without using floor space. If you are unsure, visit our Sydney showroom and try before you buy.
What do delivery and installation involve?
Most equipment arrives needing some assembly, so check the tools and time required before delivery. A wall unit also needs a secure wall fixing. We offer delivery and installation support with local aftercare, so ask us what is involved for your room.
Is it suitable for a rental or garage?
That depends on the wall. The unit must be fixed securely, which usually means drilling, so renters should get their landlord's approval first. Garages can work if the wall is solid and the space is safe and dry. Tell us about your wall type and we can advise.
Does a tower suit beginners, and what about after an injury?
Resistance can be adjusted by the spring set used, but we recommend learning with a qualified instructor. If you are recovering from an injury, get clearance from your physiotherapist or doctor before you start.
How does a tower suit a studio?
Towers add vertical movements that challenge balance and coordination, which expands class variety and can help a studio appeal to a wider clientele. A wall unit also keeps floor space free for reformers. We also offer commercial packages for studio fit-outs.
